Josh Levinson. Josh Levinson. Josh Levinson.

As the scruffy haired kid woke up, that’s all he could hear repeating in his head like an eerie whisper. But as soon as his eyes had flashed wide open, the voice abruptly stopped. Josh Levinson. Was that his name? It seemed to be. He was sure of it. Josh sat up, rubbing at his itchy, soar face. Jeez. What had he been sleeping on? Hard ground? He looked down to check, only seeing a white, slightly-soft cover that he was sitting on. Well, it close to the ground. It wasn’t comfortable by all means.

He had just forgotten everything he had done…or who he was…because Josh couldn’t remember one damn thing. Not anything but his name, which kept repeating in his head, hoping to make some sort of connection to it.

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

trenchcoatsoldier:

“No phones. Any pamphlets advertising this place appear to be blank as well. It was suggested to me that this may be part of some game.” Castiel faltered, understanding what he was not the biggest fan of games.

“People are in danger here and if God wills it, I will smite every last evil thing here,” he said with conviction, piercing gaze focused on Josh. Castiel still wasn’t sure what to make of the beast just yet, but seeing him nervous and out of ways like that…well, if one thought about it, Josh would be considered a pup right about now. It almost made his lips quirk.

Josh furrowed his eyebrows when Castiel said he would smite evil. It was like he was a character from some kind of old novel about knights and gods and warriors. It was as if he was a warrior himself. You couldn’t tell it though, from his exterior. It looked like he was a business man on his way to a meeting in a trench coat. But Castiel didn’t have that business man persona. He seemed too serious. Maybe he was a tough lawyer.

“You’ll…smite evil? Wait. What evil are you talking about?” Josh asked him.

Josh hoped Castiel wasn’t talking about him. Josh didn’t feel evil and if anything he didn’t look it. He looked pretty normal and quirky, even. Still, he couldn’t help but feel Castiel knew what he was talking about.

“Look. Can we just go somewhere? Find everyone else? Maybe someone knows me? Or you?”

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

trenchcoatsoldier:

“They are elsewhere in the hotel, appearing to be occupied in their own activities.” Castiel had the grace to keep his back turned until Josh was done changing, having learned that from a spooked Sookie and was met with accusations of being a pervert. He didn’t like the tone of voice she used and didn’t particularly want to hear it again.

His blue eyes followed Josh’s form, giving him a glance like he had done earlier in the dungeon, perhaps sizing him up. There was no need, though; Castiel knew he could handle him.

“There are a couple of things you should know. First, this is a hotel and it appears we are trapped here. No windows and one door, which is locked. It seems there is something magical about this place, a spell perchance controlling the walls to let no one in or out,” he said with a tilt to his head. This is where Castiel waits to see how Josh will react, a tugging curiosity to see the beast unfurl inside him.

Trapped here….they’re trapped here in some strange hotel? What hotel? Where was it? Who brought them here? What was the purpose? All of these thoughts were making Josh’s head spin and if he doesn’t stop, his had might actually pop up and spin on the floor.

“Has anyone tried to call the police? Show me where a phone is. I’ll do it!” Josh offered.

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

trenchcoatsoldier:

“I apologize. You happen to be the first of your kind I’ve seen thus far,” he commented, finally taking his eyes away. “I was on my way to a room named wardrobe. I’m sure you will find something to your liking there.” Without any preamble, Castiel started walking to the exit of the dungeon, leading the man to the wardrobe room next door.

It was a spacious as he last saw it, large looming stairs that didn’t make sense with drawers and racks and other doors he thinks encase more accessories. This was still a foreign science Castiel was attempting to pin down, but these social cues and behaviors keep eluding him.

The first of his kind. What was that supposed to mean? Like, he was the only human here? Then what did that make Castiel? Still, something felt off about himself, and Josh knew it. He didn’t exactly feel human as much as he wanted to believe it. And the look in Castiel’s eyes when he told him that was enough to assure him that he was more than human…maybe something dark.

But all that was pushed to the side when Castiel led him to the wardrobe, next door to the dungeon. What a weird alignment. Josh was pleasantly surprised by all of the rows of clothes and shoes. His mouth and dropped open and curved into somewhat of a smile.

“Wow.” He only said.

He walked up the stairs where all of he men’s clothes seemed to be. He found a nice selection of tee shirts and pulled over a cotton white one. It felt cool and soft again his skin, though it clung to the sweat on his back. Next he pulled a dark green hoodie over him and was quick to find a pair of blue jeans and some brown sneakers.

Already he was feeling good, and he checked to see if Castiel was giving him that strange eye. Thankfully he wasn’t, but he was giving him a different one now - a peculiar look.

“Okay, so…” Josh said, quickly trying to focus on something else. “Where’s everyone else? Should we find them?”

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

trenchcoatsoldier:

Castiel let his eyes linger to his hand after the handshake, wondering what he was supposed to feel from it before looking back up to the man who called himself Josh. “Josh Levinson,” he repeated, testing the name. Nothing in his mind flickered in recognition, but perhaps later.

“it is not common, but my true name cannot be uttered in simple human tongues.” Talk about vague.

To Josh’s question, he took another look around the dungeon, feeling that uneasiness creep around in his stomach. “Right now, we are currently in the sub-floor of a hotel. This would be the dungeon.” Castiel looked back at Josh, head still cocked to one side, and let his gaze slowly drift down the man’s body in a completely clinical manner.

“I suppose you will want some clothes, then. What a strange habit,” he eventually said, catching Josh’s nervous gaze. Not that Castiel cared. Like now, he was staring at a nude man who happened to be a werewolf in a dungeon below a hotel they’re trapped in, and Castiel didn’t think anything strange about it.

As Castiel repeated Josh’s name in a curious but deep voice, Josh could feel the prickles at the back of his neck. This guy seemed differet somehow from normal people. His behavior, the way he spoke…it was all just different.

When Castiel told Josh they were in a dungeon, the nerdy side of him came out. He immediately thought of dragons and princesses and knights being locked up in dark, dingy dungeons and guarded with angry lookin guards wearing long, silver swords by their sides.

Where had that thought come from? He wondered. Did he always think like this?

“Why am I in a dungeon?” Josh wondered out loud, looking around at the warm colored room. It didn’t seem dingy to him. In fact, it looked a bit…pleasant. This had to be for some sexual…or so he thought.

Josh turned back to face Castiel, where the dark haired man was gawking at Josh’s body. Josh was alarmed now and whipped his hands to cup his genitals.

“Hey, hey…just…just stop looking at me like that.”

And when Castiel mentioned Josh wanting clothes, Josh immediately jumped on the bandwagon. Maybe if he was wearing pants, Castiel wouldn’t look at him like a pervert anymore.

“Clothes, yeah,” he said to Castiel. “That’s probably a good idea. Is there some sort of…closet…somewhere…Castiel?” He asked a bit on the awkward side, trying his best to keep his hands in place and for Castiel to stop looking at him the way he was.

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

trenchcoatsoldier:

Castiel took in the man’s young looking features and scared eyes, pupils the size of pinpricks. It would not do well to rattle an angry beast, let alone a fearful one with no recollection as to what he was. The angel tried to think of what a person would typically do in a situation like this.

“None of us are able to recall much,” he admitted with a bit of a frown, pausing a moment before finally taking a step back from the threshold and allowing the man to pass through. He clenched down on his wings and the nervous twitch it gave as Castiel continued to observe the newcomer, wondering if he’d be as quick on his feet he assumed a werewolf to be.

“My name is Castiel,” the angel offered after another pause, taking another long moment before he lifted up a hand in what was meant to be a handshake. He had seen it done before and remembered it was supposed to be part of the greeting process, so maybe it will help the man relax in Castiel’s presence.

The man had said that no one was about to remember anything. Great! There were other people! The only problem was that they were not able to remember anything…whoever they were. Josh was growing eager to meet them now, wondering who they were, and if any of them would recognize him…and explain to him why he was naked.

As he let Josh pass him from out of the cage, the man said that his name was Castiel. Great - a name to match he face. And someone maybe Josh could stick with until they found their way out of this place. By the way, where were they?

Josh took Castiel’s hand and they shook - Castiel shook slightly awkward but firmly. When they dropped hands, Josh properly introduced himself.

“I’m Josh. Josh Levinson. It’s nice to meet you, Castiel.” He smiled a bit. “Castiel. That’s not really a common name is it?” He asked and laughed awkwardly. But the man only stared at him.

Josh dropped his smile add quieted his laughing.

“So, um…Castiel…where are we anyways?”

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

trenchcoatsoldier:

Castiel eyed the lock on the door and might as well have looked bored. “Do you remember anything?” he asked with a hand on the padlock, squeezing the metal as it crumpled in his grip. He shook the crushed lock from the bars, tugging the door open with ease. Standing in the threshold of the cage, Castiel peered down at the man, tilted his head slightly to one side. Despite Castiel saying he held not interest in sexual pleasures, the way the angel looked at him could have been considered otherwise. He would not know that.

“Do you know how you got here?”

Josh was scratching the back of his head now, waiting for the trench coat man to get the lock off of his cage. He was still eyeing the room for that crow bar or something, but he wasn’t seeing anything useful.

That’s when he heard the man ask if he remembered anything. Josh started thinking about it. Let’s see…he woke up on the floor, but how exactly had he gotten here? Where had he fallen asleep? What he done the night before?

“Well, um…” Josh started, hoping that if he started speaking, maybe he’s remember what he had done last night.

But his thoughts were disheveled when he saw the man take hold of the lock and squeeze hard. At first Josh that he was crazy, that holding it wasn’t going to do good. It was metal, not rusty and easily breakable.

But apparenlty that’s what it was because as the man squeezed on it, the lock just broke down into hundreds of pieces in his hand. Josh’s eyes flashed up to the man’s face. There was nothing readable about him. He was just staring down at all the metal in his hand. He then released it and allowed the metal to fall free to the ground. He rattled the cage and the rest of the metal clunked to the ground.

Josh’s mouth was hanging open before he could look back up at the man again. What-? Had that seriously just happened? He did not just break that lock with a light squeeze of the hand? If it were that easy, Josh would have done it by himself.

Josh looked back up at the man and pulled his mouth back up. He couldn’t find a word to say about what had just happened. He didn’t have time to. The man was already asking him another question - how he got here.

“Well, I…I got here when….I…”

Josh tried. He tried really hard to remember. He was trying o scratch at the wall that kept lock of his memories. But…but he couldn’t remember one damn thing. Josh could feel the lump in his throat as the bead of sweat dripping down the back of his neck.

“I don’t remember anything. Why can’t I remember anything?”

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

trenchcoatsoldier:

The man’s voice spoke the truth; he was, in fact, worried and fearful. He probably just arrived today, though Castiel thought it curious he wasn’t assigned a room, which was usual for everyone else. Then again… as he cast another contemplative gaze over the young-looking man, Castiel understood why. Under those brown hopeful eyes were a dangerous gold that screamed ‘predator’; the musk of nature that rolled off of him didn’t help either.

“Please calm down,” he said, gesturing that he lower his voice. Castiel meticulously looked at the red cage and the disheveled bed, measured steps bringing around the cage. It mattered none to Castiel that the man was nude, didn’t think it was important. The only thing that caught the angel’s attention was what he was; he was inhuman, but he resembled a familiar beast. He tried to remember if such beasts were stronger than vampires or demons, dwelled on quietly that probably did not ease the man’s anxiety.

“I have no such need for carnal pleasures. Do not think I was the one who put you here.” He approached the cage, peering in between the bars as one hand clasped around one. “I need for you to calm down.”

Okay, good…this is good. This man doesn’t want Josh for his sex freaky sex games. He has no interest it in whatsoever. That was enough to make him feel a bit relaxed. And him telling Josh to calm down was coaxing. Still, he was naked, though the man in the trench coat didn’t really seem to know that.

Josh’s hands were sweaty now around the bars of the cage and he didn’t make a move to drop them. He could feel the nervous beads of sweat trickling on his forehead.

“Calm…calm…I’m calm,” Josh said, trying to assure himself and the stranger. “I’m very calm right now. Sir, could you just…could you unlock the cage, please? I don’t see a key around so you may have to find others means to get this door open…”

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

trenchcoatsoldier:

It was significant moment for Castiel today, for better or worse. He’d reflexively touched Sookie in hopes to calm her and while the end results could have been far worse, he got her to drop into an unconscious pile instead. That weighed heavily on the angel’s emotions. And it was with that heavy feeling that, after he picked the girl up and flew her back to her room (and bidding her to have good dreams), Castiel returned to the subfloor in attempt to seek out what it was that Sookie enjoyed so much.

He supposed with all those clothes that the colors were pleasing to the eye, and the many textures were so varied it made Castiel’s fingertips tingle- but what was the point? The angel didn’t ponder much further on the matter- he’d just find out for himself, looking upon each seam and thread like a new discovery.

But it would seem Fate had something in store for Castiel. The sure footsteps that would lead to the wardrobe would slow and ultimately stop, and the angel would take a moment to sweep a glance down the corridor. He had felt the slight murmur of a waking soul, the panic, followed by the scream. He hesitated only a moment before disappearing in a flash and reappearing where he had heard the voice.

The dungeon. It’d only been a few days ago since his encounter in this room, but he didn’t deny the fresh unpleasant feeling swelling in his gut. That might have paled in comparison to the nude young man inside the cage, if it wasn’t for the fact that he was also inhuman. But he appeared trapped, and that made Castiel feel better. He reappeared before the young man with the sound of rustling feathers, gaze passive but guarded. Well, this was new. This one exuded the wild and the beast under his skin, and Castiel saw that that was dangerous, but was at least trapped for now.

“Hello,” the angel said simply with a slight tilt of his head.

Josh had never been so happy to see someone in his life. Though the man seemed as if he had just appeared before him in a flash, he was glad to see someone who could get him out of this cage. Still, it would have been a whole lot better if Josh wasn’t naked. Maybe as soon as the man opened up the cage, Josh could scavange the place for some clothes.

“Oh, thank God!” Josh exhaled with an awkward smile. His eyes were full and brown now, and he was looking at the man with great hope.

He looked around the room, trying to see if there was something to get the cage open with - keys, perhaps? If not, maybe a crow bar. Not seeing much of anything, Josh turned back to the man, who was looking at him quite strangely and curiously.

“Oh…oh please…don’t let this be some sort of sex thing.”

Josh knew about these types of things - naked men and women being locked in cages with some type of bed. He was standing on a pile of sheets in this cage. Maybe this man had locked him up and…did God knows what to him…or planned to.

“Just…can you please, please get me out!”

Welcome To The Jungle || Josh & Castiel ~ Dungeon

It wasn’t comfortable by all means and for heavens sake, it was spread out on the floor.

Wait. Why was he sleeping on the floor? Had he gotten hammered or something? Passed out? Maybe he had just gotten home from work, grabbed a blanket, and passe out in the living room as he was watching TV and chowing down on a bowl of popcorn.

Or maybe he had just forgotten everything he had done…or who he was…because Josh couldn’t remember one damn thing. Not anything but his name, which kept repeating in his head, hoping to make some sort of connection to it.

As Josh started to push up off the ground, he realized one thing: he was naked. Completely and utterly naked. His cold, pale skin was all exposed - every freckle, scar, and crease in the skin. He looked up with alarm, knowing that if someone walked in on him while he was all bare and exposed.

But then Josh realized that being naked was the least of his problems. He was trapped inside some sort of locked cage. He frowned, reaching out to grab the bars with his hands. He tightened his grip, yanking on the door, trying to get it open.

“Come on, come on…” He said in a panic.

But he slapped his arm against the bars, knowing he had been defeated. This wasn’t working…the door was locked and Josh wasn’t going to get it open any time soon.

Finally, bowing his head, he thought that maybe someone was out there somewhere that could hear him screaming.

He inhaled deeply and yelled out, “Help! Help me! Someone! Help me!”
